Hidden Blooms II is an interactive art experience and scavenger hunt presented in collaboration with Pearl in celebration of Mother’s Day. Unfolding across the Pearl campus in San Antonio, the project features 50 hand-crafted porcelain flower brooches hidden daily throughout the property, each one meant to be discovered unexpectedly. The pieces—some formed as delicate porcelain blooms, others as small vessels holding cyanotype paper flowers—are created by hand and carry the imprint of time, care, and intention. Visitors who find one are invited to keep it or gift it to a mother or caretaker in their life, extending the gesture beyond the initial encounter. Through this project, Hidden Blooms II honors the presence, labor, and resilience of mothers and caretakers, transforming a shared public space into one of recognition, connection, and exchange.
